It's done!!!!!!

Guys I can finally say that our opening is finished!!! I've never been more proud of myself with a project, my partner and I really did a good job. Of course we had our fair share of ups and downs but it was worth it in the end. Today in class we had time and we took it for advantage and finished editing the sound and fixing the color to a more dark tone to set the mood better. I'm still in shock that we finished it, time went by so fast it's insane. Can't wait to get feedback from you guys and see what you liked and what you didn't. Feedback is the best way to improve your skills and motivate yourself to try need things. The thing that helped me a lot was the 2 group meetings we had and i got to hear ideas from my peers and challenge myself. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Regarding my CCR, today in class Ms.Stoklosa showed us how screen record on my computer so I can be able to do the CCR. I played with it more when I got home to get the hang of it and not have problems when I actually recorded my CCR. I think I'll be starting my CCR tomorrow and finishes editing it by Wednesday so I can upload both my project and CCR together and not have problems. The last thing I want to happen is that I have problems uploading both things and its Friday night, having a melt down. I don't want to worry so I want to leave a day free just in case something goes wrong. The next post will hopefully be telling you guys I official finished my media portfolio. Almost done

Hey guys welcome back!! A lot has happen since my last post. So my partner and I have almost finished editing, the only thing left is some little edits and sounds we have to fix. But overall the opening is done. I can't believe we did it, I still remember the first day and how scared I was. I didn't think we would be able to do it and here we are now almost at the finished line. I am so proud of what me and my partner created it, we put everything we learned in media and used it to our best ability. The only thing we have left is the CCR. We've already started and hope to finish it by Tuesday and that way not have to worry about it and turn in both our projects and CCR. We have looked at other people's CCR to get a hang out what we're suppose to be doing and we think we got it under control. I'm still in shock in how fast these past 2 months went by, by the end of this week everything we worked so hard for is going to be up for everyone to see and I can't wait. As always I'll keep you updated and can't wait to show you guys all our hard work and dedication.

short on time

Time was everything while we were editing our opening. My partner and I thought 2 minutes was enough time to put in all the shots we wanted but that wasn't the case. We had approximately over 30 shots and we had to cut it down to 20. We also had problem with the computer we were editing with, something happened while we were importing all of the videos from our phones to the computer that the app photos just stopped working. In order to get it to working again we had to force a shut down on the computer but that was the least of our problems. Back to what I was saying about how we had to cut down on the shots, this made it harder for us to pick the most important shots we would need to make the plot make sense. We tried to work around the time but it was very hard, we were editing all the shots till the point that it couldn't be edited more. Today in class we had another group discussion and I think it went really well. I showed my group our opening and they all really liked it, especially the scene that I talked about in my last post.  I asked them on how to put in the credits because we still haven't figured it out. Mrs.Stoklosa actually told me that you just click on title and it shows you all the different types of title you can work with. My partner and I decided on one and we used the font i had talked about in a post a couple weeks ago, the name of the font is "True Lies." I also asked my group about the lightning in the opening and they told me that some scenes have to be a little more darker to get the more thriller look. We're also going to use the sounds from the website purple planet where you can get free music without needing to credit it. I also talked about the sounds we were going to use in another post too, you can check which ones we picked. Overall I'm really liking how our project is looking and can't wait to see how it turns out. Both of us have worked really hard and want to show it to the world. This is how our opening with the title is going to look like with the font (also I'm sorry for the image looking pixelated, I don't know what happened).

Shot after shot

Hey guys welcome back!! So we just came back from spring break and I've never felt more rested. The break was definitely needed, it also let me have time to think about our project and ideas. Today we had time in class to work on our project so decided to work on editing.My partner and I have started editing our opening and we couldn't be more excited. These are some of the shots from the opening.

These shots are meant to look from the perspective of the stalker. As you can see he's watching from afar his victim and visualizing what she's doing. In order to get this shots we had my boyfriend help us out and be the stalker, my partner filmed his POV and this is what we got. We wanted to make the pictures look as natural as possible and obviously took us a couple shots to get the right one. Not everyone gets the perfect shot at once. Going back to the first group meeting we decided to change up our plot of the story. Now we're going to do parallel editing to show what the stalker and the girl are doing at the same time. It was tricky to shoot this but hopefully it comes out the way we want it to.

 Another thing my partner and I thought about was a movie poster, because what movie doesn't have one. We still haven't decided how we want it to look like but this is what we have so far,

we think it doesn't look as creepy as we want it to be. We will definitely be playing around to see what comes good. We were also thinking of using a whole lot of pictures of me (since I'm the one playing the girl in the opening) and using that as our picture but once again nothing has been decided on. The website canva has really shocked me, you can do so many things on it, so if any of you want to make a poster or create anything you should definitely check it out. As always I'll keep you updated in how the editing process is going and hopefully by Friday our project will be done and ready to be shown.

Hey guys! So i decided to look up some videos on how to use iMovie, even though I already know I wanted to see and learn new things. In the article how to use iMovie it shows you step by step on how to create a project and use the tools. Another good websites for tricks is iskysoft. As you guys know by now my editing skills are not very good and neither are my partners. Knowing that, I want to get better at editing in order to edit our opening good. You can never have enough practice, especially if it comes to those type of things, new programs come up every month. Going back to my last post about how the movie Fatal Attraction directed by Adrian Lyne influenced our choice in going in the track of a thriller/stalker movie. I personally feel like those movies succeed more due to the content and the target audience they aim for. Keep you updated as usual.
